Man, this layout broke my brain for several days. Thats what I get for trying to modify a template instead of starting from ground zero.
It took me a bit to get this two column thing to work, and I was so proud of myself to get it working only to struggle for two days to get the next section to behave the way I wanted it to.
I was missing a single id element to make it work. I originally made a post about it on reddit sharing my frustrations, wondering if I had broken something. I almost scrapped this page completely and started over but before I did, I took a step back and thought about it away from my pc. Then it hit me if just added an ID like I did with the split layout it should just work. And it did.
Anywho thats really all I've been working on this week. Getting this page up and running has taken up most of my evenings after work. Its been challanging and fun and really rewarding.
